One of my most favorite movies of all time is The Swan Princess. I always thought Odette’s dress was gorgeous and I loved seeing her triumph over evil and become a beautiful princess. When my kids were starting to get into watching the princess movies and enjoying the fairy tales, one of the first movies we watched was The Swan Princess. They fell in love with Jean-Bob and the gang and couldn’t wait to see where they went next.

The newest installment in the Swan Princess franchise is now available and it is full of swashbuckling antics. In The Swan Princess: Princess Tomorrow, Pirate today, Princess Alise is spending time with Queen Uberta and learning how to be the perfect princess. Alise however, would love nothing more than to become a pirate. She sets sail with Lord Rogers, Jean-Bob, and Speedy on a high seas adventure. On this amazing and dangerous adventure, the crew gets shipwrecked and the crew meets Lucas, who is a young boy was has been living on this secluded island. Will the crew make it out? Will they make it back to the royal castle? You will have to watch and see.

We decided to have a special movie night to watch The Swan Princess: Princess Tomorrow, Pirate Today and we could not wait to get it started. With popcorn in hand, we sat down to watch this movie. We laughed, we sighed and we fell in love with our favorite characters all over again. After the movie, I asked the kids which they would prefer to be and while Kaylee said a Princess, Aubreigh would love to be a Pirate.

This movie runs approximately 79 minutes and is rated PG. Along with the movie, the DVD features fun extras. These are a sing along with one of the catchy songs from the movie and two featurettes.
