Life of a Southern Mom had the pleasure of working with a company called Stonefire. Stonefire is a family owned company who has been in the bakery business for over 40 years but wanted to expand their passion for food by launching Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads in 2011. The Ajmera family has a saying at their family table “Don’t fight the Tradition”. When the Ajmera family stated their journey of Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads they wanted to stick with the history, and heritage. The tradition of making flatbreads has been going on for over 6,000 year. The Ajmera’s journey was anything but easy. They undertook a massive study of touring the world and searching for the best tasting flatbreads. The family invented a new technology that mirrors the intense heat of the ancient Indians tandoor ovens that are made of clay. Along the way their was plenty of trial and errors but the Ajmera’s knew this journey would take a lot of patience. Eventually Stonefire was able to meet the demands of producing millions a flatbreads a week.
I received three products from Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads including the Mediterranean Pocket Pita in original, Tandoori Naan in Original and Garlic and lastly our families favorites Pizza Crust in Italian Artisan Thin Crust. The Pizza Crusts are fully baked and super easy to prepare.
Having a family of pizza lovers we new Stonefire Pizza Crusts would taste great and we were right. It is always nice to have that one meal that is easy to fix and only takes a few minutes to cook and serve. The Pizza Crusts are all about topping, heating and serving. I bought the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni’s for our pizza’s. The sauce was included so all I had to do was remove from packaging, add sauce, cheese and then top with pepperoni’s and bake for just a few minutes to melt the cheese.
Greg and I loved the Pizza Crusts so much we wanted to try the Tandoori Naan the same way. We made two pepperoni pizzas using the original and garlic Naan’s. You could taste the garlic which added a different taste than the original one. Ty has always been a fan of “pita” breads. I think he likes the idea of all his sandwich contents staying in place and not slipping from his sandwich. The Pita is super soft and easy to prepare. Ty only eats ham sandwiches with lettuce and tomato so I thought these would be perfect for him to eat.
Overall we all really enjoyed trying Stonefire Authentic Flatbread products and will definitely be purchasing more. Greg has already asked when we could have another Stonefire pizza. These meals are cooked and ready to eat in under fifteen minutes. One other good thing I liked about Stonefire products were we didn’t have to eat them right away. We could store them in refrigerator up to a week or even freeze them up to six months all while they keep their freshness.
