Summer is here and that means that peaches are in season! We have been buying them by the basket and enjoying them as a snack, in fruit salads and pies and as a sweet addition to breakfast and lunch! With such a bounty of beautiful peaches, I knew I needed to branch out and start using them in more recipes. Red, White & Blue Oreo Cookies

Summer is the perfect time to whip up some patriotic food! This Patriotic Red, White, and Blue Oreo Cookie recipe might be at the top of your list of things to make for your next gathering or party! The recipe comes together easily, to give you more time to savor summer instead of working in the kitchen to create a one of a kind recipe that is sweet, fun to eat and even more fun to share!

Red, White & Blue Oreo Cookies

  • 1 bag of white chocolate melting wafers
  • 1 package of double stuffed oreos
  • 1 container of patriotic sprinkles
  • 1 tub of blue cookie icing
  • 1 tub of red cookie icing
  • 1 cookie sheet
  • parchment paper fitted to the cookie sheet
  • Double boiler


Fill the bottom of the double boiler half way with water.

Place it on the stove at medium to high heat and wait for it to boil.

Place the second pot on top of the bottom pot.

Pour in the bag of the white chocolate into the top pot.

Using a rubber spatula, mix until the chocolate is melted.

Dip a Oreo into the chocolate.

Using a fork, coat the oreo in the chocolate until fully coated and use the fork to lift the oreo out of the chocolate.

Lightly tap the edge of the pot so that the extra chocolate can drip off.

Place oreo on to the cookie sheet.

Repeat steps with the remaining oreo's until all of the chocolate is used.

Let the oreos set for 10 minutes before decorating.

Take the blue icing and drizzle over the oreos.

Take the red icing and drizzle over the oreos.

Sprinkle a tiny amount of the patriotic sprinkles on to the oreos.

Let sit for another 10-15 minutes before enjoying!
