The enduring appeal of classic Alfredo sauce lies in its simplicity. It has a blend of heavy cream, real butter and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. This traditional Alfredo sauce delivers incredibly rich flavor without a lot of fuss.
This version builds upon the classic ingredients with the addition of rich cream cheese and fresh garlic. In addition, the heavy cream is replaced with a lighter blend of half & half and chicken broth. The results? A creamy, delicious and easy sauce that appears much more complicated than it actually is. This one is sure to become a new family favorite!
1 lb. Fettuccine noodles, cooked according to package directions
1 Rotisserie Chicken, meat removed and torn into bite-sized pieces
1 Head of fresh Broccoli florets (reserve stalk and stems for another use) – or 1 12 oz. bag frozen broccoli florets
2 T. water
1 c. butter
4 cloves fresh garlic, peeled and finely minced
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1¼ c. half & half (not low fat),
½ c. chicken broth
Salt and Pepper to taste,
1 c. Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
1 small bunch fresh parsley, chopped
Additional freshly grated Parmesan cheese, to serve
Tip: To prevent curdling, remove half and half from refrigerator when starting this recipe so it is less cold when added to the hot ingredients.
Cook the fettuccine while preparing the sauce so the noodles are still warm when ready to toss with the other ingredients.
Prepare broccoli by placing florets in a microwave-safe bowl with 2 tablespoons water. Microwave on high until crisp-tender. Cooking time will vary depending on individual microwave ovens, so test after 2 minutes and adjust cooking times accordingly. When finished, drain to remove excess water. Set aside.
Add garlic and butter to a saucepan and turn heat to medium. Sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes before adding cream cheese, half & half, and chicken broth. Continue cooking while stirring constantly until cream cheese is completely melted.
Reduce heat to low and continue stirring for about 15 minutes or until sauce thickens. Remove from heat and stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Add chicken, broccoli and cooked fettuccine noodles to a large serving bowl. Add the sauce to the bowl and gently toss until thoroughly combined.
Top with chopped parsley and more freshly grated Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
This is a meal that can be prepared ahead of time and reheated.

Dinner is a big deal in our house especially during the week when the kids have school and Greg is working. Do you ever have those moments when all your hear is “What’s for dinner?”, I believe I get that almost every night and the answers always varies between the kids and my husband. When the kids have a busy week in school with lots of homework I tend to plan an easier meal so that I am not stuck in the kitchen all night. I decided to try a new recipe that has only has three ingredients. That’s easy enough right?
Here is my Quick and Easy Crispy Chicken Pasta made with Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips, Barilla® Marinara Sauce and Barilla® Spaghetti.
What you need:
Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips
Is made with 100% All Natural Ingredients, White Meat, no added hormones, steroids or antibiotics.

Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips are fully cooked and frozen.
1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Place frozen strips on baking sheet.
3. Heat 18 to 20 minutes. (I flip 10 minutes into heating)
Barilla Gluten Free Spaghetti Noodles
1.Bring a 4qt. of water to boil, add light salt .
2.Place noodles in boiling water and stir.
3. Cook noodles for 10-14 minutes (depending on how you like the texture)
Barilla Marinara Sauce
1.Pour sauce in a pot and simmer on low/medium heat until bubbly.
2. Reduce heat.
Once all is ready I place the noodles topped with one or two chicken strips (whole or diced) smothered with marinara sauce. You can top with Parmesan cheese, or your favorite toppings, try with other Barilla® Chicken products as well. Add a side salad and a bread of choice and you have a complete meal in no time.
This meal takes no longer than 30-45 minutes to prep/cook and ready to serve. Now I can spend less time in the kitchen and more time focusing on the kids homework, and evening routines. At dinner time what I love most is being able to sit down and share a meal together. Some times Greg doesn’t get home until the kids are getting ready to eat and this is the time I try to make an easy dinner for all of us to enjoy together.
The kids really love this meal as it reminds them of spaghetti which is one of their favorites. I’m glad that I was able to add the Tyson® Chicken Strips and Barilla Marinara Sauce and Barilla Spaghetti Noodles to our menu during the busy weeks.

1-lb. Lean Hamburger Meat
Old El Paso Taco Seasoning
1- 4oz. can of Old El Paso diced green chiles
1- Old El Paso Soft Boat Tortillas
1- Old El Paso Stand N Stuff Shells
1- Soft Flour Tortilla (Burrito size)
Brown hamburger meat.
Add hamburger meat and taco seasoning to pan.
Allow to simmer for 10 minutes.
While simmering shred lettuce, dice tomatoes, shred cheese and dice avocados.
Stuff your tacos with all your favorite add-ins.
