With the holidays spent traveling, preparing foods, party planning and shopping there is so much to do. This Christmas I made a decision that I did not want to spend all my time in the kitchen preparing foods and desserts but want to spend time with the kids and family. While I have all the foods planed I wanted to keep it simple on the desserts. I wanted to prepare some fun treats for the kids and adults to enjoy at our gathering. While shopping at Publix, I decided on Pillsbury™ Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix, Vanilla Frosting, Moist Supreme Classic Yellow Cake Mix and The Purely Simple™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix. The Purely Simple™ Baking and Frosting Mixes use simple ingredients containing no colors, preservatives or artificial flavors and best of all they taste homemade.

Party Planning Tips

The holiday season is finally here, which means even more hustle and bustle. I truly do not mind the holidays because it means I get to start baking and spending time with loved ones. If you plan on having loved ones over this holiday season, check out these party planning tips.

Pick a Theme

I think one of the most fun parts of holiday parties is picking a theme. My family and friends especially love the themes I have picked out in previous years, so this year will be a ton of fun as well.

Another great part of the holidays is being around those you love. Party planning is a special gift I have and one of my best tips is adding in detail where you can. Add simple things like name plates or putting up a DIY Merry Christmas sign. Your guests will love these small details!

Plan Ahead

I know this goes without saying when planning a party, but always plan ahead. You do not want to wait until the last minute and then be stressed out. There are no rules when it comes to party planning, but you can always start early.

Keep it Simple

When I have friends and family over for a holiday party, I keep it simple. One way I keep it simple is with Pillsbury™ Baking mixes and frosting. These lovely mixes are available at Publix and a favorite of mine, especially around the holiday season. These Pillsbury™ Baking mixes are the perfect way to make the holiday gathers special without stressing myself out. I’m a huge fan of these mixes because they wow my guests and it doesn’t take much effort on my part. I use a little bit of my imagination + Pillsbury™ Baking mixes and it makes for an awesome holiday party with friends and family.

I decided to make these delicious Christmas cupcakes with red and green sprinkles.

These Pillsbury™ Chocolate Fudge Brownies.

Using Pillsbury™ Baking Mixes saved me a lot of time in the kitchen. I just prepared the treats as directed on the box and added the final touches. The kids and even the adults sampled the treats and we had no left overs. Get creative in your kitchen by visiting The Dessert Debate microsite for recipes and coupons.
