Life of a Southern Mom recently had the wonderful opportunity to work with a beauty company called Painted Earth. Painted Earth is a company that was founded on the theory of offering an alternative to pore-clogging chemical skincare products. Instead Painted Earth created natural, organic, non toxic, non animal tested and are safe to help keep our skin looking healthy and beautiful. What makes Painted Earth different from the rest? Their natural ingredients are formulated to be adsorbed by the skin to look more healthy while wearing. All of Painted Earths products are manufactured right here is the US, and is a licensed and DDA registered laboratory.

I received a variety of products from Painted Earth. Everyone who knows me knows that I am an eye shadow fanatic. I have over 30 different shades of eye shadows and I am always on the hunt for a new color. Upon the arrival of my package I was blown away by the amount of products I received. Inside my package included a large sheer bag to carry my make up, a Complete Face Palette Neutral Eyes large compact with mirror that included a face powder, three different shades of eye shadow, two shades of blush and an Brown Spark Glitter Pencil, Perfect Every Thyme Baked Mineral Foundation in Antique Beige that is a silk skincare foundation that offers hydration with anti-aging benefits. It’s formulated to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines while creating a natural  “no make-up ” finish for the face, SuperWear Gel Liner in Noir 01, Mint Mauve Lip Gloss, LashLuxe in Onyx, Blueberry Cranberry Oxygen Scrub sample, Boo-Boo Gel and four Mineral Eyez Eye Shimmer in Butterscotch, Moon Dust, Heavy Metal, Cotton Candy and one Shimmer Powder in Star Dust.

When I tried Painted Earth’s Perfect Every Thyme Baked Foundation I was super impressed at how easy the Mineral Foundation was to apply. I am used to using liquid foundation, so having no mess when applying was great. It says use a brush but I tried applying with a powder pad and it applied smoothly. I am always a little skeptical about trying new facial products because of break outs but since I have been using Painted Earth my face feels better and no breakouts. When wearing Painted Earth make up it doesn’t feel like other brands of make up I have tried. For instance like some Cover Girl powders make my face dry and itchy or when using liquid foundation it feels heavy. I never knew what people meant when I would hear the phrase “my makeup feels heavy” until I tried Painted Earth products. It is very light that I have to look in the mirror to remember I have makeup on , okay that might be my mommy brain but seriously it is really light weight and I do not have to constantly touch up my makeup. The Superwear Gel Liner is an eye liner that I absolutely love. It applies super smooth, you barely have to touch your eye lids when applying. Since I am a big eye shadow fan I must say Painted Earth’s Mineral Eyez Eye Shimmer Butterscotch and Cotton Candy were my favorites but I wear them all. They give the eyes a shimmer when applied and stays on all day. With other eye shadows I have to touch up at least once while wearing or either they all seem to run to the crease of the eyelid. Mineral Eyez stays in place. Boo Boo Gel comes in handy for anyone whether its a child or adult. It is used as a relief of minor bruises, burns, wounds, ulcerations, sunburn, razor burn , scrapes, rashes, blisters, bug bites, skin eruptions from acne, eczema or minor infections. This is a great product for anyone to keep on hand.
