Founder of My Tot Clock, Pamela Gonzalez was often asked how she came up with the invention of the My Tot Clock. Her oldest son who was two at the time struggled with bedtime. There would be nights she would have to sit with him until he feel asleep and he would eventually end up in their parents bed. She thought she needed to get her son a clock that changed colors. One night while being awake she decided to browse the internet for what she called “the magic clock”. She came up with no results so that night she decided she would invent it. Two years later My Tot Clock was in production.

My Tot Clock

Simply Southern Couponers was given the opportunity to review My Tot Clock. I thought this would be perfect for the boys but mainly for Eli. Being the baby we tend not to enforce a lot of rules like we do the other two boys. I guess reason being his is the baby and I know that is not right all the time but he listens and does what he needs to when asked. He has never been the child to sit still for more than a minute so when its time for “time out” he gets in the chair for literally one minute and back down and when you put him back in the chair he gets back down because he thinks his time is up. I decided to give My Tot Clock a try. My Tot Clock is a all in one clock, alarm clock, night light, and sleep aid for children ages 2 and older. It features five different colors each representing things for the child. It also has an analog and digital clock setting, reset button, on/off button and runs on either batteries or AC Power Adapter.

Here are the five features:
Blue Light: (Sleeping) teaches the child when to sleep and when its time to get out of bed.
Light Blue: (Naptime)
Yellow Light: (Waking) plays music, bed time stories, lullabies and white noise like ocean sounds.
Green Light: (Encouragement) when the child does something good like sharing, brushing teeth, using the potty, reading.
Red Light: (Discipline) time out.

You are able to choose the desired time to each feature. Since I started using My Tot Clock for Eli down time, time out and encouragement time has really been working and we will continue to use this for a very long time. I love story time at bedtime as he is scared of the dark after his T.V. turns off at night and is steadily up and down until he finally falls asleep. He now lays there and either listens to the music or bedtime story as it plays for 30 minutes until it turns off and usually he is asleep before then. Eli loves everything about his clock. My Tot Clock is the perfect for small children. If your child has trouble figuring out when it is time for bed, needs a little encouragement with daily chores, or if you need help enforcing time out then I recommend My Tot Clock.
