Mummy Dogs

Looking for an easy recipe for the kids. Look no further then these delicious Mummy Dogs. All you need it 2 ingredients and an oven.  It can’t get much simpler then that. The kids will love them. Trust me I had 4 happy kids at the lunch table the other day.

1 package of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

1 package of Hot Dogs

(Makes 8)

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.  Next, time to prep the hot dog. Making the Arms and Legs: Take your knife and slice the middle of the hot dog about a quarter of the way up to make the legs. Now for the arms. About a half inch from the top is where you should start. Slice each side at an angle about a quarter of the in from the middle. The Mummy’s torso will be a little skinny, but don’t worry he is going to be wrapped. Now for the fun part, wrapping the Mummy. Each Hot Dog will use one crescent roll.  You can either tear or cut into strips. For a more uniform shape I suggest cutting with a knife. Since I had a hungry army of kids I just ripped them into strips. Take the strips of crescent roll and wrap them around the hot dog starting from the top. Pinch the ends of the crescent rolls when adding new strips. Once you are finished move to a cookie sheet and put into the oven. Bake 13 to 17 minutes or until dough is light golden brown and hot dogs are hot.

For added fun use Mustard to draw faces. You can’t miss with these delicious Mummy Dogs. The kids could not get enough of these Mummy Dogs. There were none left, so make sure you have enough for your hungry crowd.
