In today’s world it can be hard to know how to make a difference. I’m always hearing bad news on the radio, but really want to hear good news. This past year I decided that if I wasn’t going to hear anything positive, I would make a positive impact in any way I could. Here are some ways I have tried to make a difference this year!

Smiling

I know this seems like a really basic way to make a difference, but it has been effective! When I’m out and about I try to make simple smile at someone and it usually works. Smiling is seriously one of the easiest things you can do that make the biggest difference.

Invite Someone Over for Dinner

We live in a world where everyone is focused on themselves. Reach out to someone and invite them over for dinner. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, just a simple meal that allows you to get to know someone new.BBT-instore_Walmart_2015-07to09

Cut Box Tops

What? Yes! Box Tops are a way we also make a simple difference in the life of others. How? For each Box Top you turn in the school gets 10 cents! That adds up so quickly and allows schools to buy extra items they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford.

Here are some other ways Box Tops https://goo.gl/1mqFL4 are making a difference in Education:

  • Box Tops is one of America’s largest school earnings loyalty programs.
  • Over 80,000 k-8 schools participate
  • Schools can use Box Tops cash to buy whatever they need.
  • Box Tops for Education has contributed over $525 million to participating schools since the launch of the program in 1996.

Making a difference in the world starts with us. Doing something small like smiling or cutting Box Tops changes the world in little but significant ways. What are some ways you plan on making a difference in the world? I’d love to hear some of your ideas!
