**This is a guest post from Michelle at Sweet Southern Lovin. I received nothing for this post, enjoy**

This past weekend we had a Frozen Birthday Party. I wanted to do something different than your typical “Thanks for coming” treats. I found this awesome Silly Putty recipe and made it. It’s more of a Gak to me, but it is still really cool and kids love it. You can make it to match the theme of your party by just adding food coloring. Check out how to make it.

Frozen Slime 2What you will need:

1 bottle of Elmer’s Clear School Gel

1 bottle of water (use the glue bottle when it is empty).

1/2 TSP Borax (You can get a big box for around $3 at WalMart)

1/2 cup of hot water

Few drops of food coloring (you can do this to match your theme. I used Blue for Frozen)

Few good shakes of glitter (you can also do this to match your theme. I used Blue and Silver for Frozen).

Take a bowl and pour the glue into it. Then fill the empty glue bottle up with water and add to the bowl. Mix together really well. Go ahead and add the food coloring. I did around 4-5 drops of blue food coloring to make a deep rich blue color. You can use whichever color you would like. If you have a TMNT theme you could use a few drops of green. If you are doing a Doc McStuffins you could use a few drops of purple food coloring. At this point you could also go ahead and add in the glitters you want to use. I sprinkled a lot in there because I thought it looked really pretty.

Now, you take 1/2 cup of hot water, I just used straight hot water out of the the sink. Add in 1/2 TSP of Borax and mix well into the cup. When this is all mixed together, add it slowly into the bowl of glue mix. This part is pretty cool. Mix it together until it forms the “Gak” I ended up just mixing it with my hands to make sure it was mixed very well. Next you can put the Gak into some ziploc bags, or I used little container and made some labels for the party. The kids loved this and they have been playing with it for a few days now! The Gak hols up for awhile. Here it is a week later and it still looks and holds up just as good as it did when I made it.
