With its large selection of fashionable clothes at reasonable prices, Old Navy has definitely made a name for itself in the retail world. Old Navy is part of the Gap, Inc. family of clothing stores and has a strong presence online and with retail locations around the world.
You shouldn’t have to spend any more than is absolutely necessary to get great merchandise from Old Navy, so we’ve compiled a list of the best ways to save at this already affordable store. Pair these tips with their already low prices and you’ll save some serious cash.
Wait for Super Cash
Old Navy periodically runs a Super Cash promotion where you receive coupons based on how much you spend in-store or online. Customers shopping in retail Old Navy locations can earn Super Cash coupons of $10, $20, or $30, while online shoppers can earn up to $40 or $50 coupons. Larger coupons earned online can be redeemed online or in-store, making them even more convenient to use.
During the designated earning times throughout the year, shoppers earn a $10 Super Cash coupon for every $25 they spend. To earn $10 Super Cash, you must spend $25, to earn $20 Super Cash you must spend $50, and so on. There is no requirement on larger coupons that they must be redeemed on larger purchases. For example, if you had a $30 Super Cash coupon, you could redeem it on a smaller $10 or $20 purchase, but you would lose the extra balance. When earning your Super Cash, you are allowed to use a discount, but the amount of Super Cash you earn is determined after the discount has been applied. For example, if you spend $60 online but use a 20% off code that brings the total down to $48, you’ll only get $10 Super Cash instead of $20.
Each earnings period has a Super Cash redemption period a few weeks later, where you can cash in on your coupons. Super Cash applies to most items in the store, but there are a few restrictions, including Hot Deals and Everyday Deal online and Fruit of the Loom items in store.
Get an Old Navy Credit Card
The Old Navy credit card is similar to many other store credit cards in that it has both pros and cons. The high interest rate is a detriment to some customers, but the card makes it much easier to earn exclusive bonuses and perks. If you are a regular Old Navy customer, the credit card can be helpful in getting lots of rewards throughout the Gap family and other purchases.
Old Navy cardholders earn five points for every dollar spent in store or online at Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta. They also earn one point for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
Once you reach 500 points, you’ll earn a $5 reward. Even just signing up for the credit card earns you points. You can also go paperless and enter your email address for an additional 500 points for each activity.
Throughout the year, there are exclusive events that allow cardholders to earn even more points. Cardholders also get early access to new items and sales, as well as exclusive savings.
If you earn 5,000 points in a calendar year, you’ll reach the highest level of Old Navy cardholder—the Navyist Card. Top-tier cardholders get extra benefits including 20% extra rewards points each quarter, free basic alterations on all Banana Republic items, a private priority help line, and free shipping on all orders when using the code NAVYIST.
During Super Cash redemption periods, Old Navy credit cardholders can use up to three rewards in a single transaction.
Follow Old Navy on Social Media
Old Navy is very active on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, and regularly posts printable coupons that can be used in store. Old Navy’s sales are short lived, so having early knowledge and coupons makes it easier to take advantage of the great deals.
You can also register for Old Navy emails to receive coupons directly in your inbox, as well as a
coupon on your birthday.
Use Coupons and Promo Codes
Old Navy makes coupons fairly easy to find and use. Paper coupons are available in the weekly ad and can also be printed through the store’s Facebook page. Online promo codes are also easy to find—the best place to look is the coupon page on OldNavy.com. The best promo codes are the storewide ones that can be used on every item the store sells, but those are rare, so keep your eyes open and be ready to pounce when they come along.
Some of the best sale items are under the “Everyday Steals” section online. These items frequently have great discounts or offer free shipping on orders of $50 or more, but can’t be combined with other coupon codes.
