It’s officially summer for the kids and they are eager to see what we have planned for them to do. I am sure they are thinking I hope mom has planned for us to be outdoors most of the summer, because we’ve been cooped up inside during school. While most parents have planned out vacations ahead of time the others are like me and plan last minute, spur of the moment kind of things to do. Especially when the hubby has to plan a year in advance for vacation time, it really makes it hard on us to plan because we aren’t sure what will be doing on during that upcoming year. So I have to plan the month of for us to go out of town.
Your Summer adventures may take you to the beach, on a picnic, a road trip, or camping. The options are endless. While most of these adventures require being outdoors, we as parents, have concerns for sun exposure. We have to plan ahead and accordingly to make sure everyone is protected. Banana Boat® has you covered this summer.
We are taking the boys to the beach, camping and to the pool this summer along with many outdoor picnics and family gatherings. That means I have to be prepared with my Banana Boat® products that family loves. When Ty and Eli were younger they suffered with Eczema and the littlest things would make it flare up. Being boys they always wanted to be outdoors so I had my hand at trying different sun screens for them to see which wouldn’t cause their Eczema to flare even though when they get hot it does flare up any ways. I found Banana Boat® Kids UVA/UVB Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 to work really well with both of them, especially being in the water or playing in the yard. Banana Boat® Kids SPF 50 is water resistant for 80 minutes, tear free, sting free and most of all fragrance free.
I found a new Banana Boat product that is perfect for the beach or lake, it’s called SunComfort™ Clear Ultra Mist® Sunscreen. It provides a broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection and water resistance, and most of all allows sand to brush off easily. That is one thing I always disliked about sand and sunscreen was when the kids would get sand on them it was difficult to apply sunscreen on them. While most kids have fair skin it doesn’t take much sun exposure for them to turn red and then eventually getting sun burned, especially if they are not protected or reapply sun screen numerous times while outside.
As all moms know we must plan ahead. This definitely applies to sunscreen. Sunscreen does more than protect against sunburns, it also protects again long-term effects that are not visible, like skin cancer and skin damage. Banana Boat® sun care products are tested in seven conditions – sun, ocean water, pool water, wind, extreme heat, sweat and sand to provide a broad spectrum of UVA/UVB protection for the entire family. Don’t let the sun ruin your trip or the kids play time outdoors, let Banana Boat® be your top choice of sun screen protections this summer.
Did you know that sun protection requires 1 oz. (2 tbsp.) every 2 hours to ensure family fun in all 7 conditions? What kind of sun protection does your family use? To learn more about Banana Boat® products visit their website.
