The boys have been in school for a little over a month now and things have been crazy busy. I thought with school starting our schedules would slow down just a bit but I was wrong. I take them to school come home and it’s time to turn around and head back up the road to pick them up. By the time I get home and we get homework done it leaves little time to get supper done. Some nights I find myself in the kitchen way past time that I am usually so when the kids ask for a quick dinner who am I to argue. Sandwiches are usually on the menu more often than not depending on the schedules for the kids activities. Peanut Butter and Jelly are a big hit in the home and some nights the boys and I have fun making them or grilled cheese. When I don’t have time to cook for Greg and me I usually whip up a BLT, tomato sandwich, fried bologna, chicken salad, or something along those lines that don’t take that long to make.

I have been purchasing Nature’s Harvest® breads that I found on rollback at my local Walmart for just $1.97. That is a hard price to pass on considering sandwich night saves us money and time so that we have more family time in the evenings. They’re 10 different flavors to choose from and my local Walmart had 3 of these. Nature’s Harvest® Honey Wheat, Whole Wheat and Whole Grain White.

Here are some fun facts about Nature’s Harvest® bread:

  • No artificial flavors, colors or high fructose corn syrup
  • ALL Nature’s Harvest® varieties carry the whole grain stamp.
  • Families can count on at least 8 grams of whole grains in every serving.
  • Whether Made with Whole Grain White, Honey Wheat or any other variety, moms can be sure it’s made with whole grains because it says Nature’s Harvest®.

Andrew is our picky eater of the family and he doesn’t like whole wheat breads of any kinds but when I bought Nature’s Harvest® bread I did not tell him it was wheat bread when I fixed his peanut butter and jelly pig sandwich and circles. He told me “mom this is the best sandwich you ever made”. That made me feel good not because it was a compliment of me making his sandwich taste good but because he was eating a healthy whole wheat sandwich. The next morning I made the boys some jelly toast for breakfast using Nature’s Harvest® Honey Wheat and oh my goodness they loved it and wanted more. pignh

Eli and Ty loved their dump truck sandwiches and said mom these are delicious and wanted me to make more for their lunches to show their new friends at school. dumpnhelinatureharvest

Greg has never been a fan of wheat bread since back in college when that was what he mainly had to eat sometimes. We all know the struggles of those quick meals while studying and classes in college. I told him he had to try these new breads I found at Walmart. He thought they would be dry with no flavor but said “I really like this bread” and has been packing a lunch now a few days a week with deli ham and cheese.

I am very thankful for finding these healthy breads by Nature’s Harvest® and feeding them to my family because I know they are healthy and are made with real ingredients because it says so on the bag. Other families like my own can now balance their families diets by adding these delicious, nutritious whole grain Nature’s Harvest® bread to their menus. Visit your local Walmart and shop for Nature’s Harvest® for your family.
