Detox Water Recipe
This lemon, lime, cucumber, mint detox water recipe tastes better than most, which is why it was so easy for me to start drinking it! Whether you’re wanting to lose weight or just feel refreshed this summer – or year round – try it out and let me know what you think! There are so many benefits of detoxing, especially when it comes to losing those extra pounds and feeling lighter.
Recently, I have started eating very healthy and have cut out all sugar and soda drinks. All those extra calories, carbs, sugar, etc are just no good! Besides the extra calories, they drag you down and zap all of your energy. Drinking water is the best way to go!
However, I get very tired of drinking just plain water, so I have found this recipe to share (plus it also acts as a detox water to remove all of the toxins and impurities from your body.
What is so special about this lemon-lime-cucumber-mint combination is that it cleanses, helps in digestion, and re-hydrates your body.
Lemon, Lime, Cucumber, and Mint Detox Water
- 1 Gallon Sized Pitcher
- 2 Limes
- 1 Lemon
- 10 Mint Leaves
- 1 Small Cucumber ( I used half a cucumber because mine are so big)
Make sure to rinse the lemon, limes, and cucumber very well before cutting. Slice very thinly and add the lemon, limes, cucumber, and mint leaves to the gallon sized pitcher.
Add around 12 cups of water (enough to finish filling your pitcher) and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. It tastes best when it’s ice cold, so feel free to add some extra ice cubes to it even after you’ve kept it in the refrigerator for a few hours. I love how refreshing it is on a hot day!
Pour in a large glass over ice and enjoy!
