DaddyScrubs was founded by Robert Nickell, who had his first child more than 20 years ago. Robert remarried in 2007, and in 2009 discovered he was going to be a father again in the fall of 2009. Not wanting to wear uncomfortable street clothes while comforting his wife while she was in labor, he thought of the idea of creating doctor-like scrubs for himself. To eliminate the confusion between “who’s the doctor” and “who’s the daddy,” Robert fashioned the concept of “I’m the Daddy” Medical Scrubs.
DaddyScrubs is dedicated to providing dads in every stage of fatherhood a way to proudly proclaim “I’m the Daddy” DaddyScrubs’ mission is to build a sense of community where daddies everywhere can come together to share in their pride and belonging.
Life of a Southern Mom had the opportunity to review the DaddyScrubs Classic in Edgy Navy. Even though our youngest is almost 3, my husband never lets a chance go by to say “I’m her daddy.” He usually wears an XL so I ordered that size, when I received it I was a little worried that it was going to be a little big but when he got home it fit him perfectly. He really loved the pants, they are a very soft material with a drawstring. He loved the soft material on the shirt too. He said it was not scratchy like it looks like it will be. We wished we would have had these when we stayed in the hospital. He stayed the whole time with me and was stuck sleeping in jeans (he didn’t want to strip down to his boxers he he).
Most people forget about the Dad-to-be and he hardly get them any gifts for the baby showers. DaddyScrubs would make a perfect gift for any dad-to-be or an already dad!
