As a child, I grew up with Disney movies like Peter Pan, 101 Dalmatians and of course, Bambi! Being able to share these classics with my children gives me a chance to give them an appreciation for classic films in a context that they can grasp and I can relive my own glory days of getting lost in the imaginative world of Disney.
I always regale my boys with a story about my Bambi bedroom set. Yep, I had the sheets, curtains, and bedspread as a little girl! Some of you might appreciate that sentiment, as it was quite a big deal to 8 years old me!
Bambi has been released again to celebrate a special milestone, it’s 75th anniversary! Featuring the classic tale of friendship, love, coming of age as well as a lot of fun bonus content! You will be able to enjoy the timeless tale of Bambi as well as view the interview with Walt Disney discussing the challenges and victories of creating the film, deleted scenes and so much more.
Released during WWII, in 1942, Bambi grabbed the hearts of Americans and has held on for ages. This is one of the top movies in this history of animated film, even after 75 years! The artwork in Bambi is exquisite, and it took over 5 years to create the film as it is all hand drawn!
If you are looking for a way to reconnect with a story from your childhood or a way to share an appreciation for artistry with your kids, you are going to want to get a copy of this! I think that all families will want a copy of Bambi in their collection to enjoy for years to come!
On June 6th you can grab this DVD or Blu-ray to share with your family. It will be available both in store and you can get it on Disney Anywhere too.
If you have a fond memory of watching Bambi as a child, or with your children, I would love to hear about it. Also, if you happened to have the same bedroom set for a child, make sure you leave a comment to reminisce with me!
