I can’t believe Summer will officially be over for our family very soon. The boys will be heading back to school next week and I want to start thinking of ideas for their lunch boxes. When thinking of what I can pack in their lunchboxes it can be quite challenging because they each eat different things. Instead of packing the same ole lunch every day for three growing boys I have a few fun ideas to add to their lunch lists this year. While preparing my long weekly shopping list at Walmart I must add Nature’s Harvest® Bread and Entenmann’s® Little Bites™ Snacks because I want to make good nutritional choices I know the boys will enjoy. When shopping I let the boys each pick what they would like to include in their lunchboxes and this option goes a long way in including them because I know it’s what they want and will not go to waste.
Nature’s Harvest Breads are baked with at least 8 grams of whole grains per serving, and without high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors or colors. I can feel good about giving the boys Little Bites Snacks because they are perfectly packaged and made with real ingredients and no high fructose corn syrup or Trans Fat. These Little Bites are prefect because they are pre-portioned and taste great. The size is perfect for small hands and best of all they’re less messy and can be enjoyed anytime of the day, whether it’s at lunch time or snack time. I even love them because the boys can enjoy on the car ride home from school without me having to worry about the mess.
Here I tried different sandwiches the boys each wanted me to make. We have many more ideas to play around with before school starts.
This is our little boy’s 1st day of school. To create him I simply used a gingerbread cookie cutter, ham, mayo, grapes, icing pens, Little Bites Snacks and your choice of Nature’s Harvest Bread. Of course, you can use any sandwich ingredient to create a little fella or little girl of your choosing.
This is our peanut butter and jelly man. To create him you simply need Nature’s Harvest Bread of your choice, peanut butter & jelly, Little Bites Snacks of your choice, colored icing pens and grapes. This can be made using any sandwich ingredients.
To help get us all in a smooth back to school routine the boys lay their clothes out the night before, make sure everything is in their backpacks and the next morning they help me with preparing and packing their own lunches. When I involve them I find it much easier for all of us and it also helps to get everyone motivated in the mornings before we head to school.
What are some of your creative lunchbox ideas? I would love for you to share them with us!
