Food preparation doesn’t need to be a complete chore. It should be fun and inspiring. You’re crafting something for yourself and often others to enjoy. There really is nothing like a well prepared meal, snack or dessert to put a smile on your face. No matter what sort of troubles you are going through in life, great tasting food has a way to help relieve some of that trouble and stress. Thankfully, you can always whip up something and enjoy it with a fine glass of Andre Champagne, because if you really want to take your cooking and turn it into a celebration, champagne is the way to go.

Graham Cracker, Peanut Butter and Chocolate

Making something delicious doesn’t need to involve baking at all. In fact, if you don’t have a ton of time or you just don’t feel like cranking the kitchen temperature up, why not try a no bake recipe. Perhaps something like No Bake Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bars? These are pretty much just like the peanut butter and chocolate bars in the store, only much better. If you are a fan of Reese Cups, this is the way to go.

For this recipe, all you need is two cups of peanut butter, 1 1/2 sticks of softened butter (just leave it out of the fridge and you’re fine), 2 cups of powdered sugar, 3 cups of graham cracker crumbs and 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate.

To whip it up, grease a 13 by 9 inch baking pan, then beat 1 1/4 cups of the peanut butter and regular butter, then slowly add in the cup of powdered sugar and graham crackers and 1/2 a cup of chocolate, then spoon into the baking pan. To finish it off, add the peanut butter and remaining chocolate to a saucepan and stir over low heat until smooth, then slather the melted goodness over the top and slide it into the fridge for at least an hour and serve.

This is a great recipe to use because most other chocolate and peanut butter recipes are far too rich. There needs to be a bit of crunch to really take it over the top, which is why using the graham crackers is so important.

Holiday Dessert

With the holidays quickly approaching, it is time to prepare yourself. Having a delicious dessert on hand is a must and chocolate bread pudding is easy to make. Simply gather 4 cups of milk, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup of sugar, 8 tbsp of butter, 12 ounces of semisweet chocolate, 1 tbsp of vanilla extract, 1 loaf of white bread with the crust trimmed off (who likes the crust anyway) and 1 pint of heavy cream, whipped.

To cook up this delicious dessert, whip the eggs, milk and sugar in a saucepan, then add butter and the chocolate, then place over low heat and stir until the butter and chocolate has melted, then add the vanilla.

While it melts you can coat a 13 by 9 inch baking sheet with cooking spray, then spread out the bread slices into three different layers and pour the chocolate sauce over it. However, cover with plastic wrap and set aside for an hour, then heat in a 325 degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes (make sure to take the plastic wrap off first), then serve.
